Ìjèsà land, Nigeria - In a devastating blow to the people of Ìjèsà land, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran II, Owa Obokun Adimula of Ìjèsà land, has passed away.



Igwe Ifeanyi Chukwu Gilbert Achi, Eze Ndigbo Ìjèsà land, announced the monarch's demise, describing him as a "father figure" and "mentor" who inspired countless individuals with his wisdom and kindness.



"Oba Aromolaran's passing is a tremendous loss to Ìjèsà land and the entire Igbo community," Igwe Achi said. "We will deeply miss his guidance and leadership."



The late monarch was a champion of unity and development, working tirelessly to promote the welfare of his people.

"Oba Aromolaran was a true leader and father to our community," said Chief John Oyedele, a community leader. "His passing leaves a huge void that can never be filled."

Police arrest two robbery suspects in Bauchi

 The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested two suspects in connection with alleged criminal conspiracy and armed robbery, recovering a stolen motorcycle from them. The command’s Police Public Relations Officer, Nafiu Habib, disclosed this in a statement issued Thursday. According to the statement, “On 4th May, 2026, operatives attached to Ningi Division arrested Moh’d Sani, aged 25 years, and Sani Lawan, aged 20 years, both males from Badungu Village, Birnin Kudu Local Government Area of Jigawa State. “At the time of arrest, a red Boxer motorcycle was recovered in their possession.” Habib explained that further investigation linked the suspects to an earlier robbery incident in Ningi Local Government Area.
